Fluoride treatment is a common and effective procedure used in dentistry to prevent tooth decay and promote oral health. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps to remineralize enamel, the outer protective layer of the teeth, making it stronger and more resistant to decay.
Preventive sealants are a protective dental treatment involving a thin, plastic-like coating applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth (molars and premolars). These teeth often have deep grooves and pits that can trap food and bacteria, making them prone to cavities (tooth decay). Sealants help prevent this by creating a smooth, protective barrier that shields the enamel from plaque and acids.

Tooth fillings are one of the most common dental treatments used to restore a tooth that has been damaged by decay or trauma. When a cavity forms in a tooth, it means the enamel has been eroded by acids produced by bacteria, leading to a small hole or cavity. A filling is used to "fill" this cavity, restoring the tooth to its normal shape and function, and preventing further decay.
Halitosis, commonly known as bad breath, is a condition where an individual experiences an unpleasant odor emanating from their mouth. It can be a temporary issue or a persistent problem. While occasional bad breath is normal, chronic halitosis can be a sign of underlying health problems. Fortunately, there are effective treatments available for managing and eliminating halitosis.
A porcelain crown is a type of dental crown made from high-quality dental porcelain, which is designed to cover and protect a damaged or decayed tooth. It restores the tooth's shape, strength, and appearance, making it look natural and blending seamlessly with your other teeth. Porcelain crowns are particularly popular for front teeth due to their excellent aesthetic qualities.

The most common question we receive is, "Does your facility accept my insurance?" If you have a PPO plan, which makes up 95% of employer-provided plans, the answer is YES. We accept PPO plans and will bill your insurance directly. You will be responsible for any applicable copay for your treatment. Cleanings and exams are generally covered at 100%, though frequency limitations may apply.
If you are covered by Delta Dental, Care First, or United Concordia, these plans do not pay us directly. Therefore, you will need to pay for your treatment upfront, and your insurance plan will reimburse you. We will still file the claim on your behalf to facilitate the reimbursement process.
Same-day crowns (also known as a single visit crown) are created through an in-office process using computerized technology. After the tooth preparation, the dentist uses a computer (known as a CAD/CAM system) to create a customized digital impression of the mouth.

Maria Rasner5 StarOur family of 4 went today got our dental cleaning at Calm Dental Clinic and we were glad we picked this clinic. The place is nice and clean, looks fancy! And by the way it’s got a bar, yes a bar! While waiting we were offered Margaritas :-) they have a menu of drink selection for their guests. It made us comfortable and calm and not fearful at all.
The staff is super friendly, too. Most definitely recommended this dental clinic in the Shaw area. As for the dental cleaning itself we had a a good deep cleaning and left with a smile. Looking forward to our next appointment.Monday 28th April 2025

Claire Wei5 StarFound this place through social media and really enjoyed my experience here especially with Adrienne who was the dental assistant for my teeth cleaning. She has a very light touch and was reassuring throughout the entire procedure. I also recently came here again for a teeth whitening procedure and she was very thorough in her explanations and constantly checked on me which was so reassuring because I had to cut the last session short due to increased teeth sensitivity. Really loved her calm and soothing demeanor to ease my anxiety!Friday 17th January 2025
